The Eucharist
We need to feel at home in front of the Tabernacle, we need to learn how to spend time with Jesus. From the first pages of the Diary, Jesus often complains about the indifference of people. The church is the presence of the Holy of Holies, many people are no longer on their knees, they are noisy, after communion it is rare to be quiet for a few minutes. We need to be much more conscious of experiencing the Real Presence. Mahatma Ghandi once said, "If Catholics really believed that God himself was present in the Eucharist, they would crawl on their bellies towards the altar." We also find in numerous places in the Diary joyful descriptions of intimate conversation praying in front of the Tabernacle. Jesus longs for us in the Eucharist, let us not be indifferent. We can draw inspiration from the countless Eucharistic miracles. Here are just a few, with links.
