The only right answer
As mature Christians, it is important to be able to articulate why we are Christians, that our ultimate goal is not some good moral life, but something much more, what is called sanctification, or in the Eastern Orthodox Church, divinization. Redemption has made it possible for everyone to be reconciled and reconnected to God. Grace sanctifies us so that we can become partakers of the divine nature. This is God's ultimate purpose for humanity, nothing less. So we will not be outsiders but participants in the inner dynamics of God's life in the renewed Creation. In other words, at Home.
