A miracle indeed
We should not approach only theoretically to the Flame of Love. Mary really intended the Flame of Love to be a small personal miracle. With our candles, we can receive the flame of God's love that burns in the heart of the Blessed Mother and wants to pour out. This is explicitly emphasised in the Diary, although it is difficult to see it this way at first, we tend to interpret it more metaphorically. Obviously it is not that the flame of the candle burning in our hands is the Holy Spirit himself, or even specifically the flame of Mary's heart. Let us try and imagine, in a contemplative prayer, that we are receiving the Fire of Love burning in the heart of the Mother of God. This may be the turning point, that its meaning comes alive, even if we have already dealt with it. So it is not enough to approach it only on an interpretive plane, it bears much more fruit if we live its meaning. The outpouring of extra graces is happening now. As Mary said: she wants a network of small personal miracles - instead of "a new Fatima".
